Open, equip, and trade traits

Vortex Packs are a tradable and openable on-chain asset, serving as the primary entry point for new traits and avatars into the Vortex ecosystem.

What does this mean in practice?

Vortex Packs are an expanding collection of ERC-1155 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. They can be minted periodically in the form of seasons, introducing new traits each season. The new traits can be obtained by opening packs from the corresponding season.

What happens when I open my pack?

Upon opening a Vortex Pack, it will be burned, and a provably fair generation process will determine and mint the pack's contents into your wallet.

When can I open my pack?

We will unveil the pack opening concept at the start of Season One, currently scheduled for March 2023. From that point forward, you'll be able to open all packs within your inventory.
